Fun Run Walk or Roll

The Fun Run, CASC/ACSS's annual fundraiser for The Canadian Foundation for Spiritual Care/Fondation canadienne de soins spirituels, is just around the corner! This cherished event plays a crucial role in advancing the practice of spiritual care/psychospiritual therapy in Canada by fostering research, education, and service opportunities through the Foundation.

Each year, the Foundation awards student bursaries, instilling hope and easing financial burdens for CASC/ACSS students across Canada. Additionally, the Foundation supports Members' critical endeavours by granting research funds, driving progress and innovation in our profession.

Many ways to participate

Participate in Person

The in-person Fun Run will take place in London, ON, on Sunday April 14th from 8-10 AM EDT, prior to the start of the National Conference. It has been tradition for participants to show up in silly and snazzy costumes, so feel free to get creative and wear something fun! ✨🎽
Join us at the main entrance of the Delta Armouries Hotel, 325 Dundas Street at 8:00 am. This year’s run will take you through downtown London towards the Thames Valley Parkway, where you will run north along the beautiful Thames River to the turn around point at 2.5 km.
We can't wait to see which CASC/ACSS region raises the most funds this year!
The Manitoba Marvels are currently in the lead with $1,175 raised! 🥳

Participate Remotely

If you're unable to join us for the in-person Fun Run, – you can still be part of the action, right from your own neighborhood! Bring the spirit of the Fun Run to your local streets and community by engaging in physical activity, running walking or rolling, wherever you are 😃 👍.

Why Celebrate Research?

Research is the cornerstone of progress. It lends credibility to our profession and amplifies our ability to advocate for the value of spiritual care and psychospiritual therapy globally.
The CASC/ACSS community hosts an immense wealth of talent and skill in the field of research. Many Members seek to discover and explore more deeply the field of spiritual care/psychospiritual therapy and yet lack the funding to do so. Your support of the Foundation helps provide Members with the necessary resources required to pursue their research and their passion.
Since 2007, The Foundation has given over $42,000 toward research in spiritual care and psychospiritual therapy, and seeks to continue funding initiatives that inspire hope and spread light in the lives of others.
