providing financial support for continuing CPE/PTE education for students and for spiritual care research
The Foundation is here to support you in your educational journey, whether it's covering the costs associated with your tuition, books, materials, travel, etc. The funds for bursaries are made possible through the Archie MacLachlan Memorial Award. Through a generous donation by Archie MacLachlan in 1997, the CFSC/FCSS was established and since 2007, $85,500 has been disbursed to CASC/ACSS student members to help support their educational efforts. According to Don Misener, a long-time member and first President of the Foundation, “Archie’s wish was to provide financial support for continuing CPE/PTE education for students and for spiritual care research”.
The NEW Indigenous Bursary is now available to Indigenous persons. (The Canadian Constitution recognizes three groups of Indigenous peoples: 1. First Nations, 2. Inuit and 3. Metis.) In the Bursary application, you will be asked if you are applying for this bursary. If you select Yes, you will be asked to indicate the group you are a part of of. Please Note: All bursary applicants must submit a Letter of Support from their Supervisor-Educator with their online application. Bursaries are awarded to students who are CASC/ACSS Members and are enrolled in a CASC/ACSS accredited course in either CPE or PTE |
