ADMISSIONS

A. Foundational (Basic) SPE

Admission to Foundational (Basic) SPE is a two-step process:
  • Submission of an application with accompanying documentation; and

Approval for admission to Foundational (Basic) SPE is granted following a successful interview.
ADMISSION
Persons wishing to be admitted to a Basic SPE course can contact the Supervisor-Educator of the CPE or PTE program within the list of Education Centres they are interested in and request an application. (Link below) Once their SPE application is reviewed, suitable candidates will be offered an interview with the Supervisor-Educator and the interview team. Successful applicants will be offered a space based on their suitability for participation (including demonstration of language.) The Supervisor-Educator will instruct students on the steps to become registered for the SPE course at an affiliated university.
PREQUISITES
Graduation from a college or equivalent education is recommended.
** It is not necessary that college and/or seminary educational requirements be complete for SPE education to begin, however, specific educational requirements must be completed to take Advanced SPE and eventually to be Certified. Enrolment in individual Internships

The cost per course can range between $2000 and $3000 for Canadian students.  Fees for international students will be higher. ENROLMENT IN RESIDENCIES (3-4 COURSES)
Residencies require students to take 3 or 4 back-to-back full-time SPE courses (CPE or PTE). This program is for students who wish to fast-track their training toward CASC/ACSS Certification.  Fees for courses within a residency program tend to be lower than when taking courses individually. Additionally, each Education Centre offers stipends to help offset the costs associated with full-time study.
