Salary: $76,809 – $88,676 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for a compassionate individual to provide spiritual care services for residents/clients in a Long Term Care setting.
As a Spiritual Care Provider, you will nurture a relationship with residents and their families in which acceptance is provided unconditionally. Working within the transdisciplinary team, you will be responsible for consultation, development and evaluation of spiritual care programs, as well as provide support to Continuing Care staff.

This competition is to staff one (1) permanent full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.
- Baccalaureate or master’s degree in Spiritual Care, or Theology.
- Experience providing spiritual care services in a long-term care setting is an asset.
Candidates who have education, training and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability
- Ability to provide appropriate, culturally sensitive, spiritual care.
- Ability to provide spiritual counselling, grief and bereavement care.
- Ability to design and deliver education sessions.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting.
- Leadership in ethical decision-making.
Conditions of Employment: Security clearance with vulnerable sectors; valid Class 5 driver’s licence; WHMIS training; negative TB screening; eligibility for registration with the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (CASC).
Job Requirements: Travel within the territory.
